All Blue Yonder products have been carefully inspected for quality, but please expect natural differences and imperfections that are inherent with a handcrafted piece.

Online Purchases:

Once received, if you are not satisfied with your Blue Yonder purchase, online customers have 5 days from the date of receiving your item to return for a credit in the original form of payment. Online customers are responsible for return postage and must include tracking. Items MUST be in unused, unworn, and saleable condition for refunds to be approved.

To return:
1. Use the contact page to inform us to expect your return, including the date of purchase.
2. Using the method of your choice, ship your product back to us carefully. Be sure to package well and include a tracking number. Ship all items to:

In-person Purchases:

In-person purchases (via trunk shows, fairs, or other direct-to-customer events) are eligible for returns to original form of payment within 2 days of purchase date.   Customers are responsible for using our contact page within that time frame to notify us of returns.  Items MUST be in unused, unworn, and saleable condition for refunds to be approved.

To return:
1. Use the contact page to inform us to expect your return, including the date of purchase.
2. Arrange a timely product drop off with Blue Yonder. Blue Yonder reserves the right to refuse returns if a product drop off is not completed in a satisfactory manner.

Please be aware that all Limited Edition, One-of-a-Kind, and Custom Order pieces are final sale only.  If you have any questions about an item, please use the contact form to reach out before you purchase. Occasionally, other items may also be listed as final sale.  That information will be denoted in their individual listings.

 

Currently, Blue Yonder offers free shipping on all domestic purchases. We do not presently ship internationally. Unless otherwise stated in the listing, we are committed to sending out all in-stock purchases within 3 business days. We utilize either USPS-First Class Package or UPS Ground, depending on the best available rate. Customers should expect packages to arrive within 5-7 business days of shipment. Should you need expedited shipping, please contact us directly for alternative methods and rates.

Unless noted in the listing, Blue Yonder uses glass beads, known for their fine quality, originating from either Japan or the Czech Republic. On occasion, other types of beads are used (metal, pearl, plated, etc.) and you’ll find that information in the listing itself.

Blue Yonder is known for combing rich metallic threads with woven beads to create unique statement pieces. These polyester threads are imported from Asia and come in a myriad of colors. They are quite durable, but as with all thread, they can fray, discolor, and break if not treated properly. Please be kind to your pieces and treat them with love!

Blue Yonder utilizes many different metals as accents and bases to the pieces, including precious metals. You will find more details in each listing about what is in each piece.

Please note: we do our best to represent the true colors of the materials we use both in the descriptions and in the photos we provide for each piece.  Understandably, we cannot control for monitor differences and how photo lighting may impact the colors which you see on your screen.  When in doubt, please reach out!

The majority of Blue Yonder pieces are made with exceptionally delicate glass beads, nylon stringing threads, nylon or polyester macrame strings, and brass, silver, gold-plated, or gold-filled materials.  Given the delicate nature of these components, keep your Blue Yonder items away from substances that could corrode the integrity of the beads or strings.  Some of these elements include water, soap, hand sanitizer, sweat, lotion, oil, and hair products.  When not being worn, either store your items hanging or in the pouches they arrived in.

For fringe pieces in particular, when not in use, the fringe often curls.  Have no fear!  Roll the fringe between your fingers several times and they will work themselves out.  It is best to store these items flat or hanging.  With careful treatment, all your Blue Yonder pieces should last you for years.

Yes, Blue Yonder offers complimentary mending services on any piece for the first 6 months after purchase. After that, repairs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please be thoughtful about your pieces and make sure to closely follow our care instructions to ensure the longevity of your Blue Yonder purchase.

Bespoke orders are situational and schedule-dependent, but Blue Yonder loves to fit them in if possible! Some examples of custom requests are coordinating bridal party gifts, statement earrings for a special event/outfit, unique gifts for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc.

Any commissioned work will be unique to Blue Yonder and the customer.  We do not replicate or reverse engineer another designer’s or store’s work. Often, custom work is as simple as changing the colors on an existing product to match the customer’s request.  However, it is also possible to work with Blue Yonder on a unique, special design, time permitting.

There are two ways to initiate custom work:

  1. If time permits, shop drops may include a small number of special “Custom Order” listings in the “Limited Edition/One of a Kind” section. These listings would require a non-refundable deposit to secure your slot, but this fee allows us to guarantee your custom order.
  2. Please reach out directly to Blue Yonder via the contact form with any custom requests. While we hope to be able to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee that we can fulfill your request with this method.

Blue Yonder pieces are designed and made by hand by one person, Shari Volk Stern!  Each piece takes many hours to devise and prototype and then up to 4 hours to create.  It is a painstaking process that cannot be expedited.  In order to manage sales volume and allow for regular creative additions to the collection, Blue Yonder will upload all the inventory at one time in a designated, pre-determined “drop.”

Blue Yonder strives to produce at least six drops per year and information on the exact timing of the next drop can be found on Blue Yonder’s home page.  Alternatively, follow Blue Yonder on Instagram at @blueyonderjewelry for regular updates on the process, previews of the collection, and timing of each drop.

Please don’t despair, “sold out” does not necessarily mean that it won’t return in the next drop!  However, if you see something you love and it isn’t’ currently in stock, please reach out via the contact page for further details. At this time, we cannot hold pieces for customers.
